PAFO is a network of African farmers organisations.
PAFO was facilitated in 2010 under the African Union and represents African farmers continent-wide
PAFO is the voice of more than 80 million African farmers integrated into nearly 80 national organizations, unions, federations, cooperatives, associations, etc., present in more than 50 countries on the continent, and united in five regional networks operating at the heart of African agriculture.

The Ordinary General Meeting
The General Assembly (GA) is composed of all PAFO member networks. It elects the Board, nominates the President, and meets once every two years. Membership is open to any organization affiliated with one of the five PAFO sub-regional member networks.
The Board
The PAFO Board of Directors, chaired by the President for a two-year term, includes the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Women and Youth Representatives elected by their respective groups, and two Ordinary Members assigned specific responsibilities.
PAFO Secretariat
The Secretariat, led by the Executive Secretary under the President’s supervision, manages PAFO’s daily operations, staff oversight, and resource mobilization. PAFO is legally registered in Rwanda as an international NGO, certified by the Rwanda Governance Board under registration number 001/RGB/19.
